Architectural Manager – Residential Builder

Location: Buford, GA

Are you an architectural leader who thrives in a builder-driven environment where your drawings actually get built? Our client—a private, design-forward home builder based in North Atlanta—is seeking an Architectural Manager to take ownership of vertical construction drawings across their growing portfolio.

This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner directly with ownership, construction leadership, and consultants to create smart, code-compliant designs that shape communities across Georgia.




What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the development of construction drawing sets for all vertical projects—townhomes, apartments, and more
  • Collaborate with ownership and civil engineering teams to align building design with site constraints
  • Coordinate with internal departments including construction, sales, marketing, legal, and warranty teams
  • Maintain and manage redlines, server archives, and plan updates for all active and historical projects
  • Interface with external consultants, including architectural, structural, MEP, and specialty design teams
  • Develop and implement company drawing standards and quality controls
  • Serve as a problem-solver and technical resource when construction challenges arise in the field




What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of architectural experience in residential or multifamily construction
  • Strong working knowledge of Georgia building codes, ADA requirements, and UL-rated assemblies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction documentation best practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to lead coordination across departments and teams
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability

  • Competitive base salary: $90,000 – $110,000, depending on experience
